Teaching is the most awesome profession in the world and I feel so lucky to be a part of it! After obtaining my associates degree from Kaskaskia College, I attended Eastern Illinois University. I recieved a BA in Liberal Arts with a minor in psychology from EIU. While completing my last year at EIU, I worked in a local school district as a special education aide. It was during this time that I fell in love with the classroom. In 2006 I graduated from Greenville College with a master's degree in teaching.
I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days doing something I love. I believe that as a teacher my job is to equip children with the resources and tools each individual student needs to find success. We all need to feel the sense of accomplishment in our lives. It is my goal to help each one of my students feel that as often as possible.
*My Family*
My three favorite people in the world are my husband, Nate, and my daughters, Jillian and Madison. Jill, my oldest daughter, is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. Maddie is my wild child. She is so full of energy that we never know what to expect from her. Together, these three make my world a wonderful place to live!
